Privacy Policy

What Tax Harbor collects, why, and how it is protected and shared.

What we collect

When an office uses Tax Harbor, it enters information about its clients to prepare their returns: contact details, intake answers, documents the client uploads, and the figures on the return. Clients enter their own details when they book or activate their portal.

Why we collect it

To prepare and file the client's return for the office that serves them, to run the office's scheduling and reminders, and to keep the records the office is required to keep.

Consent and disclosure

Tax return information is used only to prepare the return unless the client gives separate written consent (Form 7216). Consents for AI-assisted processing and text reminders are separate and optional, and each is recorded.

Text messages (SMS)

If you opt in to text messages, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you agreed to: appointment and document reminders, scheduling notices and replies to your questions, and, only with a separate opt-in, marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Tax Harbor does not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or text-messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes; we share them only with the service providers that deliver our messages, solely to send them.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also call (321) 999-8689 or write to support@taxharbor.com.

How it is protected

Identifiers are stored encrypted. Each office's data is isolated from every other office. Staff use two-step verification. Sensitive actions are recorded in an audit log. Backups are encrypted.

Your choices

Clients can withdraw optional consents in their portal or by contacting their office. Requests to access or delete records go to the office that serves you, which remains responsible for its clients' records.
