Review and filing
Review with sources. File with approvals.
The prep packet links every number to the page it came from. Three approvals — preparer, office, client — happen before anything is transmitted, and a change request voids them all.
Every value points to its source.
When a review starts, the assistant assembles a packet from the client's documents: wages, withholding, interest, mortgage interest, prior-year figures. Each field shows its page and box, a confidence level, and a flag when something needs a second look. The professional decides.
- Click a field, see the page
- Low confidence flagged
- Prior-year comparison
Preparer, then office, then client.
Approvals happen in order and are recorded with who and when. Requesting changes voids earlier approvals so nothing stale reaches the client. The client authorizes from their portal after seeing the figures.
- Ordered approvals
- Change requests void approvals
- Client authorization from the portal
Transmit only when every gate is green.
This season, returns are e-filed through our partner's authorized provider. In the current release the transmit step runs in simulated mode and is labeled as such on screen; acknowledgements, rejections and corrections follow the same workflow either way.
- Labeled simulated transmit today
- Acknowledgement log
- Corrections restart approvals
Notes and dictation stay with the case.
Reviewers type or dictate notes against the whole return or a single field. Change requests, dictation and plain notes are kept with the case for the office approver and for later.
- Dictate in the browser
- Notes per field
- Kept with the case
